The Life of Gabe and Mandy

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night..." Psalm 92:1-2

Pray

I know it's been awhile since I last posted and there have been several things I'd like to blog about but I just haven't been using the internet for blogs as much lately...

We have some dear friends who would really covet your prayers right now.

A few months ago we learned that our friend's Mom had brain cancer and was given 3 months to live. They live in Missouri but have been spending most of the last few months in Mexico where they were recieving alternative treatments for her cancer. Things were looking up after many intense struggles when all of the sudden Mrs. Carter came down with pnuemonia and some other complications. You can read more about their family on this blog http://www.mustard-seed-faith.blogspot.com She is now unconcious and on life support I believe.

On Monday we got a call from the Lynches. Mrs. Lynch is 17 weeks along with their 7th baby. She began bleeding on Monday and is now in the hospital where the Doctors are encouraging them to sign papers that will allow them to take the baby in the event of a hemorrage. Her condition was labeled as Placenta Accreta. They would appreciate your prayers for wisdom as to what to do, and also that God would sustain the baby and the mother long enough for the baby to develop to the point where he/she will be able to live outside of the womb. (A seventeen week baby's lungs are not developed yet.) The Doctors are also encouraging a hysterectomy, saying that it is the only way that Mrs Lynch can survive the Placenta Accreta.

A little about what our family has been up to can be found by going to our family website, of you are interested in reading about that.

May God bless you all and may you all have a great week.

EDIT:
We went and saw Peri, the mother with cancer, in the ICU unit. She is not unconcious all the time, she was actually awake for two of the days this week and she was aware of everything and knew who her family was. Because she's been fighting cancer I have a feeling it's going to take her body more time to get rid of the pnuemonia.

Thankfully we were able to introduce the family to some friends of ours down here in Chula Vista and they invited us all over for dinner, which was a huge blessing I think, seeing as they have been eating from restaurants for the past week straight.

Please lift up Danielle and Mandy and Mr. Carter in your prayers. They are having a tough struggle as you can probably well imagine!

Thank you!

And thank you Merrie for finishing this post for me while I was on the road yesterday! I love you, and miss you! (All of you!)
